Steven "Rhea" Franks

He was born to Jay and Nora Franks on January 26, 1962 in Chillicothe, Texas. He attended school in Lefors, Texas from 1968 until he graduated in 1980. For many years, he ran heavy equipment for Adams and Franks and built roads for Lewis Construction. For the last decade, he worked as Superintendent for Big Creek Sand & Gravel and D.E. Rice Construction in Borger, Texas.

Steven loved his three children Devan Franks, Brooke Warren, and Madison Franks with abandon. They were the light of his life, and he adored spending quality time with each of them. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, and traveling. He was a dedicated son who stopped by to check on his aging parents every afternoon.

Although he will be missed fiercely, we know there is no more pain and suffering, and we’re grateful his soul is at peace. God blessed our family tremendously with his presence, generosity, and love. We are exceedingly grateful

A celebration of life service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Lefors. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
