Sue "Susie" Tepe

Feb 11, 1933 — Jun 24, 2026

Pampa

Sue “Susie” Tepe, 93, of Pampa, passed away on June 24, 2026, in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Byron Williamson of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements and burial are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Susie was born on February 11, 1933, to Doc and Dolly Brashears. She grew up and attended school in Eastland. As a young woman, she moved to the Pampa and Canadian area where she worked in food service as a waitress for Malone Pharmacy, Steadman’s, and several other eating establishments. Susie would eventually meet Bennie “Ben” Tepe and later marry. Susie and Ben shared several good years together before his passing in 2004.

While Susie and Ben were married, Susie became very enamored of the ranch and farm. On that land, they had beautiful flowers, plants, livestock, and horses that she was particularly fond of; this time in her life made Susie very happy. She had a witty and dry sense of humor that her close friends found enjoyment in. Susie will be remembered as an extremely private person, but who was very loyal to the people she welcomed in.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Mary Beth; and a stepson, Hoot Tepe.

Susie is survived by a brother, Jim Brashears and wife Paula; stepdaughter, Belinda Crosier and husband Don, stepdaughter-in-law, Debbie Tepe; four step-grandchildren; close friends, Chrisa Gatlin and husband Jimmy, and Deeta Nicholas and family; and by extended family and neighborhood friends.
