Tammy was born on October 27, 1959, in Pampa to Darrell Sr. and Helen Danner. She was raised in Pampa and graduated from Pampa High School in 1978. On February 10, 1978, she married Timothy Lee Hill in Pampa. Together, they raised their two children, Candace and Brandon, and shared more than 30 years of marriage.

Throughout her working years, Tammy was employed by Suoco Oil Corporation and Heard-Jones Pharmacy before beginning her long career at Pampa Regional Medical Center. For more than 30 years, she worked in the hospital’s purchasing department, where she formed many lasting friendships.

Tammy was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church and had also been attending Briarwood Church.

Tammy never met a stranger. She loved to talk and visit and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. More than anything, her family was the center of her life. She rarely missed an event involving her children or grandchildren and could always be counted on to be there, cheering them on as their biggest fan. Wherever they were, Tammy wanted to be there too.

Strong and independent, Tammy lived life on her own terms. She loved her family fiercely, treasured the time she spent with them, and took great pride in watching her children and grandchildren grow. Her presence, encouragement, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Grandparents George and Nellie Keaton, Timothy Lee Hill, two brothers, Darrell Lee Danner, Jr., and Terry Lynn Danner; son-in-law, Jason Scott Wood.

Survivors include her two children, Candace Wood of Amarillo and Brandon Hill and wife Valerie of Pampa; six grandchildren, Logan Wood, Corbin Wood, Rhett Hill, and Brant Hill all of Amarillo, Jarren Hill of Lubbock, and Emme Hill of Pampa; brother, Monty Danner of Pampa; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
