Thomas “Tommy” Willis, 89, of Pampa and formerly of McLean and Borger, passed away on September 7, 2025, in Pampa.
A celebration of life memorial service will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Carpenters Church with Pastor Jim Sinyard, pastor, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Tommy was born on July 4, 1936, in McLean to Clyde and Eula Willis. He grew up and attended school in McLean before as a young man moving to Borger. Shortly after, Tommy went to work for the City of Borger working in the sanitation department for 28 years. While in Borger, he met Clara, and they married in 1989.
After retiring from the City of Borger, Tommy couldn’t sit still, so they moved back to McLean where he started his mowing service called Tommy’s Lawn Service. He would serve many clients in McLean for several years. Thereafter, he and Clara moved to Pampa in 2010 where they shared several more good years and met some great friends. Tommy was a man who had his principles and knew what he wanted, but at the same time he was an ornery and fun-loving person who liked to make people laugh and smile. He will be missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kathy Harris; brother, J.C. Willis; and sisters, Dorothy Conatser and Thelma Holman
Tommy is survived by his wife, Clara Willis of the home; two sons, Wayne McGrane and wife Sherri, and Ric McGrane and wife Yolanda; grandchildren, Brent, Carissa, Sean, Keenan, Steven, Ashley, Sara, and Jessica; greatgrandchildren, Trisan, Rory, Killian, Colton, Cayle, Aurora, Alexander, Maximus, and Kaden; special friends, Earl and Loretta Bridwell; and other family members.
The family would like to extend appreciation to Tommy’s hospice nurses, Patsy Bridwell and ReNee Nichols for their loving care for Tommy.
