Tim Ray

April 12, 1971 — September 11, 2021

Tim Ray (Timmy, Dad), 50, of Carrizo Springs and formerly of Pampa, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 in San Antonio.

Private memorial graveside will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Tim was born April 12, 1971 in Pampa to Kenneth and Opal Ray. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1989. After high school he began his career in the oil and gas industry with his father. He worked for over 30 years in the industry, gaining many friends and the respect of those that had the opportunity to work with him. In June of 1995 Tim married Christy Woodall of White Deer, TX. Christy was his best friend, the love of his life, and Tim was never shy about telling you that. Together they raised 3 outstanding young men. When Tim was younger, he enjoyed team roping with his dad and he continued that hobby with his oldest son. Tim also had a passion for show pigs and 4H, helping his sons through the years and bonding with them through it. He was always involved in FFA and loved to help kids and their families, even after his sons graduated high school, he continued to help other kids and families achieve their goals. He enjoyed spending time with his family, often driving out to the Braum’s Farm to watch sun rises with them and quietly relishing in those moments. Tim always took great care of his family, and his boys were his life. When he moved to Carrizo Spring, he met some wonderful friends that he enjoyed helping buy show pigs. Tim was a good husband, loving father, and loyal friend, he was a Christian believer in the salvation of Jesus Christ. Tim will be missed dearly by his family and friends; his charm, good nature, integrity, and love for others, were seldom matched and will not be forgotten.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Christy; 3 sons, Kyler Ray of Pampa, Clay Ray of Lubbock, and Cooper Ray of Colby, Kansas.
