Troy was born on December 28, 1964, in Pampa, to TC and Norma Darlene Drinnon. He grew up and attended school in Pampa, graduating in 1983. After high school, Troy enlisted in the Navy. He served for two years before returning home. Troy first started working at his dad’s service station in Pampa. As a young adult, he moved to Paducah and worked for a service station there. He eventually owned the station, and later sold it. Next, he went back to work for his dad in Pampa at Tri-State Weed Control. Troy took over the business and was very successful. After a while, the company was sold to Brock’s Weed Control, but Troy was still employed there. He was a loyal and hardworking man.

Later in Troy’s career, he began working for Titan, first as an inspector, and later as a machinist. He later had the opportunity to be hired on as a machinist for National Oilwell. Troy stayed with National until the company eventually closed its doors in Pampa. As of 2016, Troy had been a truck driver for GHC Transport. This job suited him, because he loved being on the road. His favorite thing to do was drive all over the country.

In his free time, Troy was often watching or attending NASCAR races. For vacation, he would go with his family to Red River or Cabot Ranch. He loved the mountains. When he was in town, he was faithful to be at his grandson, Easton’s, baseball and football games. Troy was also an avid motorcycle rider. He was frequently seen around town on his Harley-Davidson. Most of all, Troy loved his family and was extremely proud of them. He had a soft spot for every dog he ever had. Troy will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Troy is preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Frances Hunt; niece, Trinidee Underwood; and three dogs, Dusty, Boss, and JoJo.

He is survived by his daughter, Bridget Holman and husband Justin of Miami; grandson, Easton Holman of Miami; brother, Tylor Drinnon and wife Stephanie of Sunray; sister, Gayla Summers and husband Don of Pampa; nieces, Tausha Robinson and husband Torrey of Canyon, and Amy Acosta of Mustang, Oklahoma; nephew, Jerrod Drinnon of Lubbock; best friend, Chuck Bechtal; dog, Max; and numerous great nieces and nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.

The family would like to thank the staff at UMC Lubbock for taking such amazing care of Troy.
