Urbana Rodriguez de Anaya

Urbana Rodriguez de Anaya, 82, of Pampa, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025.

Funeral mass will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Guadalupe Mayorga, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Rosary will be held at 5:00 PM on Monday, December 22, 2025 at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel.

Urbana was born on May 25, 1943 in Cardenas, Mexico to Jesus Rodriguez and Vicenta Simental Rodriguez. She married Leopoldo Anaya on June 11, 1963 in Luzardo Cardenas, Mexico. They moved to Spearman on November 5, 1979 and later to Pampa in 1995. She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Urbana enjoyed gardening, singing, and spending time with her family. She was incredibly organized and always kept her family in line. Urbana loved making her family laugh. She took pride in the home and her family. She was known for her delicious tamales and spent many hours making them with her children.

Urbana was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Vicenta Rodriguez; her husband, Leopoldo Anaya; and one daughter, Particia Anaya.

She is survived by her five children, Blanca Anaya of Brownwood, Luz Maria Hernandez and husband Isidro of Pampa, Jose Luis Anaya of Pampa, Oscar Anaya and wife Elsa of Amarillo, and Raul Anaya and wife Laura of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren, Henry Hernandez, Steven Hernandez, Jose Rafael Hernandez, Itzayana Miranda, Jocelyn Miranda, Albert Hernandez, Johnny Anaya, Emmily Anaya, Clarissa Anaya, JJ Anaya, Adrianna Anaya, and Raul Adrian Anaya; 16 great-grandchildren, Lexi Mendoza, Karina Mendoza, Myra Mendonza, Alex Mendoza, Ian Mojica, Rafael Hernandez, Julius Hernandez, Benito Hernandez, Itzel Hernandez, Giselle Hernandez, Ethan Anaya, Oscar Anaya, Zaidyn Rodriguez, Melanie Cabrales, Enzo Cabrales, and Ezra Cabrales; several siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
