Wanda Cloud, 80, of Pampa, passed away on May 26, 2024, in Pampa. 

 

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

 

Wanda was born on April 22, 1944, to John and Mittie Edwards in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She graduated from Calvin High School in Calvin, Oklahoma in 1962. In 1974 Wanda was the first woman to be hired by the USDA for field grading. She moved to Alaska in 1977 where she work for Northland Wood for eight years. While in Alask Wanda got her pilot license and was certified in float plains. 

 

In 1985 Wanda moved to Pampa and went to work in the banking industry. She was employed in the banking industry for 35 years with her final position being with Happy State Bank over the drive through. While working as a bank teller she met the love of her life Bob Cloud. On September 27, 1985, her and Bob were married in Pampa, and were married for 38 years.

 

Wanda was a hunter, fisherman and loved the outdoors. She enjoyed playing golf, going to the casino, and watching sports. Wanda and Bob were very spontaneous and would go for long drives and travel. She was very humble and never one to take credit for the things she had done. Wanda was a good person and loved her family, always willing to do anything for them.

 

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mittie Edwards, and brother Coy Edwards.

 

She is survived by her husband, Bob Cloud; son, Rick Cloud, all of the home; grandson, Race Cloud, Borger; and brother, Murel Edwards, Calvin, Oklahoma.
