Wanda Gipson Locke

Wanda Gipson Locke, 85, died January 18, 2018 in Randall County, Texas.

Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Friday, January 26, 2018 at Victory Baptist Church in Stinnett with Brother Steve Adams, pastor of Victory Baptist Church, and Pastor Mike Kelley, officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Wanda was born March 24, 1932 to Lee and Jessie Gipson.  She married William Harvey “Dub” Locke, Jr. on January 17, 1948; he passed away on August 21, 2008.  Wanda was a bookkeeper for Wylie Hudman Oil & WHL Oil.  She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Stinnett for many years and had a passion for singing.  She was a homemaker and a full time mom to her 5 children.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kelly Locke; granddaughter, Erica Koehler Allen; great grandson, Clifford Blake Allen; brother, Neal D. Gipson; sisters, Neta Ault, Betty Butler, and Dorthy Nell Gipson.

Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Koehler and husband Raymond of Pampa; three sons, Colin Locke and wife Rhonda of Stinnett, Kevin Locke and David Torres of Amarillo, Shannon Locke and wife Laura of Mansfield; eight grandchildren, Kolleen Yarbrough, Nikki Brennenman, John Locke, Gary Locke, Amanda Evans, Kimberly Conyers, Whitney Line, and Alexandria Bila; 24 great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Ferrell of Coweta, Oklahoma; brother, Don Gipson of Shamrock; friend, Billie Welty and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
