William “Chris” Fox, 48, of Amarillo, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023, in Amarillo.

Chris was born on May 3, 1975, in Pampa to Jim and Nancy Fox. He grew up in Pampa and graduated Pampa High School from the class of ‘94. After high school, he entered the workforce and started his journey in the commercial trucking industry; a profession that he enjoyed and made a lot of friends on the highways. In his spare time, Chris loved to ride motorcycles. He also enjoyed fishing, whether it was at Lake McClellan or deep-sea fishing in Monterey, California, you could find him fishing. Chris would also go fishing with friends he had met while driving a truck.

However, he loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his nieces and his nephew. He will be remembered as a joyous man who never met a stranger, and had an infectious laugh that could brighten the room. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Chris was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Naomi Fox; and his maternal grandparents, Wayne and Arlene Mathews.

Chris is survived by his parents, Jim and Nancy Fox of Skellytown; his sister, Dawn Marie McLean and husband Chris; two nieces, Daelynn Marie McLean and Destiny Fox McLean; one nephew, Conner McLean; his girlfriend, Bonnie Barnett; and his closest friend, who went everywhere with him, Tessa (his dog).
