Wilma Yvonne Earles McMinn
December 2, 1946 – September 8, 2025
Our beloved Mom and Nonnie, Wilma McMinn, 78, of Fritch, Texas (formerly of Lefors, Texas) passed away peacefully on Monday, September 8, 2025, at her home in Fritch surrounded by her family and her beloved Beau.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Memorial Heights Cemetery in Lefors with Pastor Rick Timmons of Central Baptist Church of Canadian, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory of Pampa.
Wilma was born on December 2, 1946, to Elsie Mae (Holloway) and Willie Burton “Bill” Earles in Pampa, Texas. She attended McLean and Lefors schools. She married Billy Dean McMinn on July 3, 1964. They celebrated 56 wonderful years before his passing on Aug. 26, 2020. They were blessed with two sons, Christopher Dean on Jan. 18, 1965, and Clinton Lane on Dec. 7, 1967. Wilma and Billy enjoyed golfing, hunting, camping, spending time with the grandkids and great-grandkids.
She loved to craft by making personalized greeting cards, cross-stitch and doing her own nails. Billy was in law enforcement which took them to many places, Erick, Okla., Canadian, Pampa, Olton, Littlefield and Lefors.
Wilma was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at age 28 and she never let this disease hinder her. She continued to live life to the fullest with determination and love.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy Dean; her parents, Elsie and Bill Earles; her in-laws, Imogene and Floyd McMinn; her brother, David Earles; bonus brothers-in law, Mark McMinn and Jerry Conway; and great-granddaughter, Sky McMinn.
Those left to cherish her memory and carry on the McMinn Legacy are her two sons, Chris and wife Connie McMinn of May, Okla. and Clint and wife Traci McMinn of Fritch; seven grandsons, Coty McMinn of Oklahoma City, Tyler and wife Kaylee McMinn of Yukon, Okla., Kyle McMinn and wife Michelle of Mustang, Okla., Ryan McMinn of Tulsa, Okla., Travis Williams of Tennessee Colony, Texas, Seth McMinn and wife Lillie of San Angelo and Sean McMinn and wife Halle of Borger; three granddaughters, Samantha and husband Ralph Gonzalez of Perryton, Cheyenne and husband Tyler Moon of Hooker, Okla., Sara and husband Carson Spitler of Amarillo; eight great grandsons, Kayce and Sloan Gonzalez of Perryton; Charlie and Maximus McMinn of Yukon; Aaron McLean of Mustang; Nicholas and Carston Williams of Wyoming and Cason Spitler of Amarillo; and two great granddaughters, Zoe Williams of Wyoming and Carlee Spitler of Amarillo; brother Billy Earles and wife Margit of Columbia, Maryland; bonus sister-in-law, Barbara Conway of Panhandle; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces/nephews; cousins and friends. She was blessed to have become Nonnie to 2 more great-grandchildren, baby boy McMinn due on Oct. 9, 2025, and baby Moon on April 5, 2026.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you Interim Hospice of Borger and Robbins Nest Assisted Living in Borger these past few months. A special thank you to her friends, Tammy Schmidt and Cathy Gardner, who not only cared for our Mom and Nonnie, but loved her like their own.
